Durham markets welcomed the North East Young Traders Market regional final back onto their historic Market Place for the second year. Market Place was bustling with twenty-two traders that had secured a place by trading at a local YTM event in the North East over the past few months. Representation was from Darlington, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Durham and amongst those present were two street foods sellers, one with plant-based food and the other with Jamaican Jerk food. There was not one but two authors in attendance, signing their books and three healing crystal traders , all so good, which made it extra difficult for the judges to pick a winner. Despite an awful weather forecast over the past week running up to today, the weather stayed sunny and bright with only one quick shower which delayed the presentation of the awards. To demonstrate the quality of those who attended today, three of those placed today were on their second market trading outing, only have traded once before. Nine traders will go through to the national final in August representing the North East.
