 New discount outlet for Oldham
WATERLOO MILL, opening in March, will specialise in discounted branded fashions, homewares, toys, shoes, luggage, bags and accessories and will be the latest addition to the successful Traders Outlet concession format. With over 24,000 square feet of space, Waterloo Mill will be the largest independent dedicated concession store in Manchester.
Occupying a unique position the outlet aims to be the first choice for established retailers and independent local businesses seeking a presence in major shopping centres and on high streets. “We want to be first choice for local people in the community who are seeking a pleasant and affordable alternative shopping experience where they can get everything they need under one roof, in the knowledge that they are supporting local
independent businesses,” said joint owner Mathew Wray.
Owned jointly with brother Marcus Wray, it’s hoped Waterloo Mill will follow in the success of their Traders Outlet stores in Altrincham and Sale, which house over 100 established independent shops, retailers and specialists.
With room for 120 concessions, from just £4 per day — which includes heat, light, electricity, sales staff and security — retailers can rent retail space on a monthly licence, payable quarterly.
As with Traders Outlet, Waterloo Mill will have the provision of serviced tills — whereby stock is individually barcoded so people can buy them from an alternative member of staff even when you’re not there. This frees up your time to source more stock.
Adds Mathew: “Another way way of looking at is having storage space with the added bonus of customers being able to see — and buy — your products. Of course, if you want to, you can stay on site to sell them yourself.”
“If you’re an established retailer or have always wanted to work for yourself this is the perfect opportunity. Your costs can tailored to you requirements with the addition or reduction of space to suit.”
Traders Outlet can be found at 16 The Downs in Altrincham and 3-7 Tatton Road, Sale open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm. Visit www.tradersoutlet.co.uk, and email info@tradersoutlet.co.uk
Waterloo Mill will be situated at Waterloo Mill, Waterloo Street, Oldham Manchester OL1 1EW.
