NMTF 121st AGM and Conference
Monday April 27th 2020
at the Imperial Hotel Blackpool

THE NMTF is returning to Blackpool for its 121st AGM and Conference and already bookings are flooding in. The combination of the grandiose Imperial Hotel and the attractions of one of the UK’s premier seaside resorts make this year’s event, on Monday April 27, particularly compelling.
And there’s more — for those staying on the Sunday evening we’re planning a drinks reception on board one of Blackpool’s heritage trams, followed by traditional fish and chips. And they’ll be free to all.
As usual a short AGM in the morning for members only will be followed by a conference that will appeal to anyone with an interest in the markets industry. Once again the NMTF will be setting the stage for the only forum where operators, market managers and traders can get together to debate and discuss both the initiatives and concerns of our industry. This year the theme is Designing Markets fit for purpose, a broad theme aimed at looking at how the people responsible for our latest generation of markets aim to ensure they are tailored to meet the requirements of their customers. After all, much of the appeal of our markets is that no two are alike. We’ll also be looking at the ways in which both markets and market traders are tackling environmental issues. And the outstanding success of last year’s Young Traders Market, with the grand finale live on the BBC’s The One Show, will be a major feature of conference, with all the category winners taking part. Like last year, the NMTF will pay for the travel costs for Liaison Officers to get to and from the event — plus an overnight stay on the Monday night.
