The countdown has begun to the opening of the new facility in the heart of the new £66m Mall shopping centre in Blackburn in March next year. It will be based in the ground floor of the Mall along Ainsworth Street and Church Street.
The fit out programme is now underway and the new market will feature a total of 127 stalls selling quality produce, food and non-food.
Traders are being offered three months rent free and a financial support package for the initial stall fit out.
The new market hall will be fitted out with the latest display and sales methods. Funding of £1.5million has been allocated for equipment fit-out.
Tenants will be able to choose their own purpose-built stalls, counter and display walls.
