National Youth Market

Working in partnership with Manchester Markets, the National Youth Market took place on King Street in Manchester on 2 and 3 September 2016.

Over 30 young traders from all over the UK touted their wares for the good folk of Manchester, including quality crafts, tasty street food and funky fashion.

Ross Ballinger, 16, from Stone, Staffordshire, was awarded £500 and crowned National Young Trader of the Year for his business, Phoenix Engravers.

Two runners up - Daniel Spencer-Hansen, 22, from Donnington, Lincolnshire, and Daniel Yates, 27, from Chorlton, Manchester -  recieved £200 each and Highly Commended awards.

All three have won one year's free NMTF membership to support them with their trading.

Members, look out for a full write-up of the event in October's edition of Market Times.

NMTF thanks our colleagues at NABMA for encouraging market operators to submit their best young traders to the event and for donating £400 of prize money to the award winners.
